Championing value assessment and funding for medical technologies in Asia Pacific to enhance patient access

Market Access Committee works with policymakers and other stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem to facilitate increased access and affordability of medical technologies for patients in the Asia Pacific region.

The committee is organized in 3 working groups with the following objectives:

  • Medical Devices to highlight the services the MedTech industry provides and the importance of MedTech innovation
  • In-Vitro Diagnostics to elevate the value it provides to patients, healthcare professionals, providers/laboratory professionals, policy-makers and payers in the Asia Pacific region
  • Digital Health to establish optimal reimbursement schemes for digital health solutions.

Objectives of the Government Affairs and Market Access Functional Committee:

  • Promote smoother and well-defined post-approval market access pathways
  • Facilitate robust, bi-directional market intelligence and best practice sharing amongst economies across the region
  • Promote the benefit of patients and healthcare systems by advocating for policies that ease digital health reimbursement
  • Highlight the substantial value in-vitro diagnostics provide to patients, healthcare professionals, providers/laboratory professionals, policymakers and payers in the region
