Cybersecurity risks continue to evolve and it is more important than ever for medical device manufacturers to have an established set of processes to guide how their organization should respond when a cyber incident occurs.
APACMed in partnership with Ensign InfoSecurity has developed two incident response guides for medical device manufacturers in Asia Pacific. Drawing upon established industry principles and practices, the two guides seek to facilitate product security incident response teams and organization cybersecurity incident response teams to identify, evaluate and mitigate cybersecurity vulnerabilities and incidents in medical devices and in their organisations.
We hope that the guidelines may serve as a foundation for medical device manufacturers to establish, maintain and enhance their cybersecurity and medical product security incident response capabilities to manage security vulnerabilities in medical devices and minimise the impact of cybersecurity incidents.
