The APACMed Digital Health Committee published a first position paper Digital Health Regulation in Asia-Pacific: Overview and Best Practices calling for the development and convergence of fit-for-purpose frameworks for digital health across APAC countries. In the paper we assess the digital health regulatory activities in Australia, Japan, and Singapore, identifying best practices and gaps and comparing digital health regulation from abroad such as in the United States. We end the paper with recommendations to regulators, in order to support them to implement frameworks specific to digital health.
In this new paper, APACMed reviews Korea and China’s regulatory approaches for software regulation alongside international best practices, reiterating the framework for fit-for-purpose regulation of digital health solutions.
