SYNOPSIS
The terminology around “patient centricity” was introduced in the 1980s through the increasing proliferation of technologies which allowed for care to be delivered in other settings apart from only the hospital. Fast forward to 2022, patient centricity has become a daily conversation – from further decentralization of care models to advancements in digital tools like remote care management, as well as the rise in the patient voice.
Aaron Villaruz, Vice President of DePuy Synthes, Asia Pacific, speaks with Chris Hardesty, Strategic Advisor to APACMed about real-world use cases from his experience with Patient-Centric Care Models, from care provision to patient activation to medical technologies.
