Traditionally known as manufacturers, MedTech companies have stepped up to innovate “beyond the device” – into bringing forth innovative services and solutions – to meet the evolving needs of patients, providers, and healthcare practitioners. Interestingly, the need to deliver such diverse solutions and services has heralded shifts in how MedTech companies operate their businesses as service providers. As service providers, MedTech solutions can be segmented into three archetypes: services complementary to product offerings, services as core offerings and direct-to-patient clinical services.
This new service-based operating paradigm presents exciting opportunities for MedTech industry to partner with existing health service providers and unlock new models of care for patients across the region.
