Further accentuating one of our strategic pillars, ‘Regulatory Reliance’, The Asia Pacific Medical Technology Association (APACMed) paid a visit to The Medical Device Authority (MDA), the first of its kind post-pandemic. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss about regulatory reliance in the field of medical devices based on Good Reliance Practice (GRelP) and explore new opportunities for collaborations between MDA and other key regulatory agencies in APAC.
Many critical issues and strategies were discussed during the meeting to ensure more efficient regulations by improving medical device regulatory systems and ascertaining improved access to safe medical devices and guarantee their effectiveness. Led by APACMed, this meeting has certainly given a positive impact to MDA for its initiatives towards regulatory reliance in efforts to coordinate and improve the regulation of medical devices on the global stage. APACMed also congratulates and welcomes MDA who now join the Regulatory Reliance Bandwagon as another important regulatory agency.
