APACMed, Invest India and KPMG under the guidance of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Government of India launched a White Paper titled ‘Enabling Growth and Innovation in the Indian MedTech Sector’ at the inaugural session of ‘India Pharma & Medical Devices 2022’ – Department of Pharmaceuticals annual flagship event for the sectors. The paper was launched in the presence of Shri Mansukh Mandaviya, Hon’ble Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare & Chemical and Fertilizers, Government of India, Shri Bhagwanth Khuba, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers & New and Renewable Energy, Government of India, Ms. S Aparna, Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals, Government of India, Dr Vinod K Paul, Member, NITI Aayog and Mr Deepak Bagla, Managing Director and CEO, Invest India among other key dignitaries.
The paper reviews the current landscape and shares recommendation and roadmap to support government to realize the goals of Make in India for the Medtech Industry and make India a global hub for innovation and manufacturing in the coming years.
