Overview of the newly notified DPDP Rules and its impact on the MedTech Industry

This session will provide participants with a practical understanding of the newly notified Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Rules by covering requirements for clear, itemized consent notices; proper handling and retention of employee data; tiered breach-reporting duties; and the use of the research exemption for R&D and clinical trials. It will also highlight key differences from global regimes such as the GDPR and Singapore’s PDPA, and outline a clear roadmap to help MedTech organizations implement both immediate and long-term Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) compliance measures.
