Interoperability of digital health solutions is crucial to bringing more high-quality care to patients, but it is far from being achieved. In this paper we explain the impact of medical device interoperability on patients through use cases, provide an overview of adopted standards, and give our recommendations to healthcare stakeholders to achieve better interoperability.
