Striking a balance between environmental sustainability goals and maintaining access to essential medical devices and diagnostics in the region.

Along with policy analysis on evolving ESG considerations that are increasingly gaining traction within the medical device industry, our initiatives help manufacturers, policymakers and other stakeholders balance healthcare priorities with a growing need for environmental stewardship.

The working group comprises of three workstreams as below:

  • ESG Intelligence Workstream: Helps members navigate evolving and fragmented environmental regulations impacting the industry (Kindly access the Environmental Regulations Dashboard in the resources below)
  • ESG Technical Workstream: Focuses on developing proof points and databases to support future advocacy efforts around current or potential environmentally concerning substances.
  • ESG Live Issues Workstream: Enables members to collaboratively address environmental regulatory risks impacting the MedTech supply chain.

Objectives of the ESG Working Group:

  • The working group seeks to educate members and other healthcare stakeholders on the evolving environmental factors affecting the medical device industry in APAC, while co-developing a balanced MedTech-specific ESG narrative.
